BREAKING: INEC vs Uduk: Court Issues Arrest Warrant on Ignatius Uduk for Absenting 6 Times in Sitting

Ignatius Uduk, the defendant in three-count charges bordering on the announcement of false election results, publication of false election results, and perjury, was absent in court along with his counsel.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had preferred the charges against Uduk. Despite being summoned, Uduk and his counsel failed to appear in court for the judgment.
The Judge, Bassey Nkanang, adjourned the judgment till 11 am and directed that a call be made to the defendant and counsel to inform them of the judgment.
However, they failed to appear in court. This was not the first time Uduk and his counsel had missed a court sitting, as he, the defendant, has refused to appear in the past six sittings. Judge Nkanang revoked Uduk’s bail conditions and issued an arrest warrant.
The judgment was then adjourned until February 5th, 2025.
