BREAKING: Sergio Busquets to leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season
One of the Bercelona’s best players ever to represent the Club, Sergio Busquets, will leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season as announced by Berca Midfielder on Wednesday via social media in an emotional video in which he says “it has been an honour, a draw and a source of pride to have been able to wear this badge but everything must come to an end.”
The midfielder also admits that “it hasn’t been an easy decision but the time has come,” before thanking “all those people who have accompanied me on this journey, as well as the members and fans.”
With the commitment that has always been his trademark, Sergio finally made his debut for the first team in 2008 in a league game against Racing Santander. It was not long before Busquets became a vital part of the side that won six trophies in a calendar year.
Since then Sergio has became a key member of the squad and for the last two seasons he has been captain of the first team. After two years wearing the armband he says goodbye with a long list of honours and a style of play recognised around the world.
