JUST IN: Hoodlums clash in Lagos, set market on fire

There was a clash between hoodlums in the Ile-Epo area of Lagos State on Thursday, resulting in numerous injuries. The fight reportedly began in the market in the area on Wednesday night and persisted into Thursday morning. During the clash, some shops were set on fire, and goods were destroyed.
According to reports, the intervention of the police was hindered by the hoodlums. Even when a fire service truck arrived at the scene in the morning, it was forced to retreat after being attacked with stones. This indicates a high level of tension and resistance to authority within the area.
The situation underscores the need for immediate measures to restore peace and security in the affected area and to prevent further escalation of violence.
