Nollywood’s Ali Nuhu is Colgate Brand Ambassador

Colgate-Palmolive, has unveiled a popular Kannywood and Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu as its brand ambassador for the northern part of Nigeria.
The ambassador was unveiled during the ‘Yanga with Your Smile” market activation held recently at Bata market in Kano.
The activation exercise saw residents troop out in their numbers to have their dental checks done.
Regional Sales Manager, Colgate North, Abdul Musa, explained that the choice of Nuhu was informed by his wide acceptability and recognition in the North, considering his role and influence in the Nigerian movie industry.
Musa noted also that Nuhu remains the best fit to communicate and promote the importance of good oral care and the benefits of using Colgate products in a way that resonates with the local audience.
He said, “We are quite excited to have Ali Nuhu as the face of the brand, particularly for the northern part of Nigeria.
This is someone who resonates easily with the local audience. We know how much he is respected and revered here and will be glad to leverage his influence to promote oral hygiene.
Ali Nuhu expressed pride and excitement to join hands with Colgate as their brand ambassador.
He said, “I am committed to using my role and influence to encourage the use of Colgate among consumers owing to its far-reaching effect of addressing cavity issues and improving oral health in general. I hope to take this message to every nook and cranny of the North.
“My message to Nigerians is that they should be conscious of their dental health and the best way to do that is to patronise Colgate.
Based on my experience, I can say that Colgate remains the number one oral care product to address any dental issues.”

Girl, 14, killed by lion in Kenya
The alarm was raised by another teenager and KWS rangers followed tracks to the nearby Mbagathi River, where they found the primary school girl’s remains.

A 14-year-old girl has been killed by a lion on the outskirts of Nairobi, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said.
The child was snatched from a residential compound on a ranch next to Nairobi National Park, according to the conservation agency.
The alarm was raised by another teenager and KWS rangers followed tracks to the nearby Mbagathi River, where they found the primary school girl’s remains.
The lion has not been found but KWS said it had set a trap and deployed search teams to look for the animal.

UPDATE: Four-storey building collapses in Lagos (Photos)

A four-storey building has collapsed in Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos, with occupants trapped, and some feared dead.
Panic gripped residents when the uncompleted building suddenly collapsed on Saturday.
The building houses the popular Equal Right Restaurant.
The incident happened at about 11a.m., today.
As of press time, men of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, as well as the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, who had been contacted have arrived at the scene.

BREAKING: Many feared trapped, as Building collapses in Ojodu Lagos

An unspecific number of people are believed to be trapped under an uncompleted storey building which collapsed in Lagos.
The building housing Equal Rights restaurant located at Oremeta Street, Ojodu Lagos, went down on Saturday morning.
It is believed, however, that some people are still trapped underneath the rubble.
