JUST IN: Eid-El-Kabir Prayer Disrupted At Osogbo Central Mosque
There was a mild drama which prevented Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke from Observing the two voluntary Rakat at Osogbo central Eid.
The drama which caused a little disruption before the prayer was held was occassioned by argument that ensued over sitting arrangement involving the State governor and the immediate past Senate spokesperson, Ajibola Basiru.
A loyalist of the governor was alleged to have confronted Senator Bashiru to leave where he was sitting that the space was meant for the governor.
The situation was still not brought under control on governor’s arrival and after sometime, he had to leave and could not observe the Eid prayer.
It’s noteworthy that no one was hurt during the heat argument.
However, in short while when the fray nerves were calmed, the grand imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animasahun led the congregation in prayer.
Addressing journalists, the senator, Ajibola Bashir expressed disappointment over the incident and cautioned the state governor not to allow non state actors to take over his government.
Similarly, the Asiwaju of Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Tunde Badmus who condemned the incident, also lamented that it would have been prevented if the governor’s protocol officers had done the right thing on the sitting arrangements.
