Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has sent a positive message to defender, Dani Carvajal.

This was following the Los Blancos captain’s season-ending ACL injury.

Carvajal now requires surgery after a horrific injury in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win against Villareal on Saturday.

The Spain International collided with Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino in the dying stages of that game and was left screaming in pain.

He was stretchered off pitch and taken out of the stadium in an ambulance.

Ancelotti offered his support to the Spanish defender, who said he could be on the sidelines for many months.

The Italian coach spoke of the veteran Spain international’s resilience (via Madrid Xtra): “Your energy and commitment are essential for this team.

“We know that you will overcome this challenge as you have always done and that we will count on your support and help wherever you are.

We look forward to seeing you, Dani.

Good luck!”

Barcelona secured their 29th Spanish league title after beating Real Madrid 2-0 in the Clasico on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres struck in the first half to help Hansi Flick’s side clinch La Liga in consecutive years, while consigning Madrid to a trophy less season.

Barca moved an unassailable 14 points clear of second-place Los Blancos with three matches remaining.

This was only the second time the outcome of La Liga has been decided directly by the result of a Clasico, with record 36-time champions Real Madrid winning their first title in 1932 after a draw with Barca.
