Kaduna Lawmaker sewing uniforms for pupils in Constituency

Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency says arrangement has been made of to sew uniforms for primary school students in all the public schools in Kaduna North Federal Constituency.

He discloses this via his X handle, on Thursday.

He said “As September approaches, we will be engaging various local Tailor Associations in each of the wards of Kaduna North Federal Constituency .

According to our data from the Kaduna Bureau of Statistics and the best LGA Chairman in Nigeria, Hon. @MuktarBaloni, the outgoing Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government. We have 32 public schools in our beloved constituency.

“To ease the burden on the parents of the students, we hope to compliment the work of the state government under our leader Governor @UbaSaniUs, and initiated by our father Mallam Nasir @elrufai, we intend to engage the Association of Tailors in each of the twelve wards in Kaduna North. I am working on the modalities of the ad hoc committee to engage the tailors in order to support their business and improve the local economy.

Last year, around this time, we distributed over 300, 000 books to students in our public schools. I would like to apologise for the delay in implementing the scholarships for BUK, KASU (Phase II) and KADPOLY (Phase II). My Senior Counselors on Education, Nuhu Sly and Jibiril Belgium will spearhead this initiative.”

According to the family member, relatives are jubilant and full of gratitude to God for the safe return of the abducted judge. He said the family expressed appreciation to all those who stood by them during the ordeal.

As of the time of filing this report, the Kebbi State Judiciary and security agencies had not released an official statement.

Justice Bunza’s abduction last week drew widespread concern across the state, with calls for his immediate and safe release.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has clarified that there was no fire at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos following an incident that prompted an earlier advisory.

Preliminary findings show that the smoke observed in the affected area resulted from the discharge of the terminal’s FM-200 fire suppression system. The cause of the system’s activation is still under investigation.
