Moniepoint Microfinance Bank (MFB) has appointed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as its brand ambassador as part of its newly launched campaign, Made for Your Progress.
The company said the initiative is designed to emphasise its support for Nigerians pursuing personal and business growth.
Managing Director of Moniepoint MFB, Babatunde Olofin, explained that the campaign highlights the contributions of individuals and small businesses to the economy.“

Rural Electrification Agency targets 3.7GW solar manufacturing to close Nigeria’s power gap
Managing Director of the agency, Engr. Abba Aliyu, disclosed the initiative in Abuja during a benchmarking visit by officials of the Zanzibar Utilities Regulatory Authority (ZURA).

The Rural Electrification Agency (REA)is on the move to establish 3.7 gigawatts (GW) of local solar photovoltaic (PV) panel manufacturing capacity by the end of 2027.
The planned manufacturing expansion will significantly reduce imports while strengthening Nigeria’s renewable energy value chain.

He said that the agency is encouraging Chinese solar manufacturers to establish production facilities in Nigeria, noting that locally assembled solar panels are already being exported from Lagos to neighbouring Ghana.

Royal African Society marks 125 years of Africa – Britain Businesses

The Royal African Society has marked 125 years anniversary of Africa and Britain businesses and investments at a ceremony held at the London Stock Exchange.
The Wednesday event brought together the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II; President and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Finance Corporation, Samaila Zubairu; Chief Executive Officer of British International Investment, Leslie Maasdorp; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave, Olugbenga “GB” Agboola; Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal African Society, Stella Okotete; and other business, diplomatic and policy leaders.
Chairperson of the Royal African Society, Arunma Oteh, said that the organisation had spent 125 years fostering partnerships between both regions.
Oteh said that the celebration was aimed at deepening collaboration between Africa and the UK while promoting investment, innovation and shared prosperity.
